LiveKit · Self-hosted review
Self-hosted LiveKit audit
When a self-hosted deployment is already running, the next useful step may be a focused review—not a rebuild. We examine the configuration, network path and operational signals relevant to one workload or symptom. The boundary is agreed before access or testing begins.
The review is limited to the agreed deployment and scenario. It can cover server configuration and version, deployment and network settings, firewall and connectivity evidence, and available observability. We will agree what to exercise—for example, a join and reconnect path or recording workflow. Testing stays within the environment and access you authorize.
What you receive
You receive a written record of the scenario, evidence, assumptions and unresolved risks. Findings are separated from hypotheses. Recommendations are prioritized, with practical fixes and a retest plan. If the evidence does not establish a root cause, the report states what remains unknown and what could narrow it down.
This is not a general infrastructure audit, full redesign or all-in-one review of SIP, application code, cloud accounts and dependencies. Configuration inspection does not establish capacity: a scenario test reports its conditions and observed results, not a capacity guarantee. 24/7 operations, incident response and ongoing monitoring are excluded.
Access and engagement boundary
Start with redacted configuration, diagrams, logs and metrics. Do not email passwords, private keys, access tokens or credentials. We agree the purpose and limits before any further access. Implementation is separate; the audit does not authorize production changes, and fixes are not applied automatically.
Fixed-scope review from $3,000
The starting price covers a bounded review, not an open-ended investigation. We will confirm the scenario, materials, access, deliverables, schedule and fixed fee in writing before work begins. If the need falls outside that scope, I document the gap and discuss the next step before further work.
Relevant experience
My production experience is with LiveKit Cloud application backends: rooms, tokens, webhooks and billing. My self-hosted examples are lab work, not customer SFU operations. The agreed scope will reflect that distinction.

Discuss your deployment
Send a short description of your deployment, the symptom or scenario, and what evidence you can share in redacted form. No credentials are needed for an initial conversation.
